Fix for Read Errors on Phi-Deck System - Interview with Dr. Suding July-1978

This is an excerpt from an interview with Dr. Robert Suding published in the Bridge Newsletter from 1978. Note: The "wire" discussed below should be a stranded sheild from a coax cable. I carefully removed the insulation from a short length (4") of coax cable. Next I pulled out the insulated center wire and flattened the remaining sheilding.

Having read errors on your Phi-Deck system? ... This can be cured by running a wire from the motherboard ground plane to the nearest chassis screw. This will also eliminate many other noise problems. What happens is that the Phi-Deck head lines pick up as much as .8 volts of video noise. Installing the ground eliminates 9O% of this noise. This also will eliminate hum problems in the Votrax system.
